8.12.10

Started the day by Callum waking me up with

“Mum I’ve overslept, can you take me to Bury”

“Err, what time is it?”

“9am you’ve got half an hour”

WTF, me ready in half an hour, he was having a laugh!  Well I managed it in three quarters of an hour but he had to help defrost the car and get me some food together as I was off to Thetford for a few hours with Mum.  Also managed to weigh myself and am disappointed that I have only lost 1.2kg/2.6lbs this week L  Poor mum was rushed too but we manage to get Callum to Bury at 10.10am, not bad, only 10mins late.  Not that he had college studies; they were all going 10 pin bowling!

I managed to take all my tablets before leaving, a miracle in itself as it fills my stomach.  Think this is the start of my day with problems with my stomach.  When I drop mum off at the bank, I have some breakfast in the car but it feels trapped and I start to have breathing problems again.  Ten minutes later driving down the road, it gets worse and I know I am going to have to get rid of it.  I chewed it as best I could but still got this reaction.

So parked up in the car park I make friends with a bush and the deed is done.  We decide we will go and play bingo for a laugh but the sitting position gives me dreadful pains in my new stomach, like trapped wind half way through the session.  It is getting severe, and I am afraid of shouting out because of it.  I have managed to drink about a pint of hot low fat chocolate since getting there, but no matter how much I visit the loo, it is not easing.

I then remember that they sell sweets etc and hope that they might have some mints.  Yippee Polo’s, not sugar free but I have to give it ago.  I suck it as long as possible and I feel the wind moving.  Mmm..........still not enough to express, so I end up having 2 further polo’s hoping they don’t make me ill and eventually I managed to release a tuneful note or two in the ladies toilets.  Still feeling it has not all released I decide it’s time to head home.

About 4.30pm I try to eat again, but the same thing happens again and food gets stuck.  Within 10mins my breathing is affected and I have to get rid of the food once again, but this is causing me concern, because that means I haven’t actually had any protein today except my Fortimel drink.

6.30pm I did manage to keep down comfortably some tapioca and 2 bites of Callum’s pancake.  I have heard of others having the odd day like this so, hopefully it will be better in few days.

After collecting Niamh from school tonight after her school Panto, we get home around 9.30pm and Oliver has cooked Haggis, Mash and Suede.  It was lovely and no side effects, what a relief!
